AKIPRESS.COM – Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Amarsaikhan Sainbuyan met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Jalil Abbas Jilani. The meeting took place as part of the working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia to the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, the government press service reported on Wednesday.

The sides discussed issues of deepening friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, increasing the frequency of political dialogues and developing mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and other spheres.

Amarsaikhan expressed his condolences over the heavy rains and floods in Pakistan, which led to the deaths of many people and caused significant damage to the country.

“Mutual high-level visits play an important role in the development of relations and cooperation between the two countries. There have been no high-level mutual visits in the 60-year history of our diplomatic relations. Therefore, I believe in expanding relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Pakistan and intensifying political dialogue in future,” the Deputy PM noted.

Foreign Minister of Pakistan Jalil Abbas Jilani agreed with Deputy Prime Minister’s proposal and emphasized that he would focus on further improving cooperation between the two countries.
